Following five years of active duty service in the United States Marine Corps, I studied Computer Information Systems at Austin Peay State University. I graduated from Austin Peay with top honors from both the Department of Computer Science and the University.
In 2019, I was one of 100 students out of more than 13,000 participants nationwide to become a finalist in the SANS Cyber FastTrack program. I was awarded a scholarship to the SANS Institute where I completed an upper-division undergraduate certificate in Applied Cybersecurity.
Since completing my undergraduate degree, I have been employed as a full-stack software engineer. In under two years, I progressed from a junior developer into my current position as a project lead at SIXGEN—a full-spectrum cybersecurity company.
